Session Snap — Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 10, 2026
Session Snap is a browser extension that saves your open browser tabs as named sessions so you can reopen them later. Your privacy matters, and this policy explains exactly what the extension does — and does not do — with your information.
Information we collect
None. Session Snap does not collect or transmit any personal or sensitive information, browsing history, page content, or usage analytics.
Information stored on your device
Session Snap saves your data locally using the browser's
storage.local API so your sessions are there when
you come back. This includes:
- Your saved sessions — the name you give each session, the tab URLs it contains, and the date it was created
- Your theme preference (light or dark)
This data never leaves your device, is not sent to us or anyone else, and is removed when you uninstall the extension. You can rename or delete individual sessions, remove single tabs, or clear everything at any time from the extension.
Permissions and why they are used
- storage — save your sessions and preferences locally on your device.
- tabs — read the URLs and titles of your open tabs when you choose to save a session, and open tabs when you restore one. Session Snap does not read, store, or transmit the content of the pages you visit.
Third parties
Session Snap uses no third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or external services, and includes no remote code.
Uninstall feedback
When you uninstall Session Snap, your browser may open a short, optional feedback form so you can tell us why. Filling it out is entirely voluntary — you can simply close the tab — and any response you choose to submit is handled by that form's provider (Google Forms), not by the extension.
Children's privacy
Session Snap is a general-purpose utility, is not directed at children, and collects no data from anyone.
