Foot Scroll — Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 9, 2026

Foot Scroll is a browser extension that adds on-screen buttons for scrolling web pages hands-free. Your privacy matters, and this policy explains exactly what the extension does — and does not do — with your information.

In short: Foot Scroll does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no external servers. Everything the extension needs stays on your own device.

Information we collect

None. Foot Scroll does not collect or transmit any personal or sensitive information, browsing history, page content, or usage analytics.

Information stored on your device

Foot Scroll saves your preferences locally using the browser's storage.local API so the control looks and behaves the way you set it. This includes:

This data never leaves your device, is not sent to us or anyone else, and is removed when you uninstall the extension. You can export or import it yourself, or reset it to defaults, from the extension's settings.

Permissions and why they are used

Third parties

Foot Scroll uses no third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or external services, and includes no remote code.

Uninstall feedback

When you uninstall Foot Scroll, your browser may open a short, optional feedback form so you can tell us why. Filling it out is entirely voluntary — you can simply close the tab — and any response you choose to submit is handled by that form's provider, not by the extension.

Children's privacy

Foot Scroll is a general-purpose utility, is not directed at children, and collects no data from anyone.
